  • Press release on the event week from October 10th to 13th, 2017

    Ecological connectivity and cross-alpine management of wild animals and their habitats are the two most important topics during the week of October, 9-13 in the cross-border region of the Natural Park PrealpiGiulie (IT) and the Triglav National Park (SI). Various workshops and conferences were held, organized either through the INTERREG VB project ALPBIONET2030 (funded by the EU Alpine Space Program) or the EU Platform for the Cohabitation of Humans and Large Predators.   • 2nd project partner meeting in the ‘Villa Sonnwend’ in Windischgarsten (AT), within the national park Kalkalpen

    After almost 5 months of project work, all partners of the Alpbionet2030 project will meet next week in the national park Kalkalpen to discuss in detail the scope of tasks and interaction between the different working steps, partners and stakeholders of the project.

  • Kick-Off meeting in Vienna

    This event has gathered the project partners, numerous observers and different personality from alpine institutions.  Thus, the General Secretary of the alpine Convention Mr. Markus Reiterer, the German focal point for alpine Convention, Mrs. Silvia Reppe, the President of the Ecological Network Platform of the alpine Convention, Mr. Thierry Boisseaux, among others, discussed about the importance of this project in an alpine and macro-regional context.

    The recent publication « Alpine Nature 2030 – Creating [ecological] connectivity for generations to come » has marked the completion of an important preparation work, which pass now to a more operational phase, particularly through ALPBIONET2030 project. Protected areas from ALPARC network, which are present among partners, will play a key role in these activities, especially as pilot territories for the project results implementation.
