Forum Alpinum and 7th Water Conference of the Alpine Convention

On the occasion of the Austrian Presidency of the Alpine Convention, ISCAR was organizing the Forum Alpinum 2018 together with the 7th Water Conference of the Alpine Convention in Austria.

As the topic of the Alpine Forum “Alpine Water- common good or source of conflicts?” is strongly related to the main content of SPARE, a delegation of the SPARE Team contributed to the conference in Breitenwang, Austria.

By hosting a workshop about Integrated River Basin Management, it was possible to give an inside into the project, especially into the database of references, which is now going to be filled with valuable information and shall be finished until the SPARE final event in November 2018. The information about the different aspects of Integrated River Basin Management was illustrated by the example of the Swiss Pilot Case Study Inn- Engadine.

The participants of the workshop had the possibility to give feedback to the structure of the database and come up with own examples to be added into the database.

The Pilot Case Study Inn-Engadin was represented at the poster exhibition with a poster regarding the Integrated River Basin Management Plan, which was developed during the SPARE project and is going to be implemented in the Engadine.
